Van der Berg Inc is a female-owned company that specialises in Conveyancing and Commercial Property Law. 

 

ELMARIé VAN DER BERG is an Attorney and Conveyancer who obtained the degrees B.Juris at the University of Port Elizabeth and B.Proc through Unisa and specialises in technical conveyancing, township establishment, and commercial and residential cluster and sectional title developments comprising both short term and long term projects.  She leads the Technical Conveyancing and Transfers Department and has extensive experience of the inner workings of the Deeds Office as she had, prior to her admission as Attorney and Conveyancer, worked in the Pretoria and King Williams Town Deeds Offices.  Since 1991, she has attended to the registration of office and industrial parks, garages, residential developments, and golf estates including subdivisions, township registers, and sectional title developments in the Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu-Natal, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Cape, and the Freestate Provinces and she also attended to the registration of 70% of the Greater Soweto Townships as a panel attorney for the now-defunct Soweto City Council.  As part of the process, she liaises with the town planner, land surveyor, engineer, architects, and developer from the initial planning phase up to and including transfers to end-user purchasers. Elmarié has since January 2007 practiced in both the Cape Town and Centurion offices of our firm and she is also a non-Executive Director in an advisory capacity for various Social Housing Projects in Gauteng and North-West Provinces.

 

She also has extensive experience in the opening of sectional title schemes and establishing retirement villages and complexes for sectional title, full title, and life right schemes.

Our transfer department assisting with the transfer of property, full and sectional title as well as the transfer of property directly from the developer is growing fast.

The Cape Town office has also a big correspondent department to assist with the registration in the Cape Town deeds office.

 

The director and professional staff are assisted by skilled conveyancing employees and we believe in gearing ourselves properly for a project with the necessary expertise in our staff complement of dedicated employees, to render the highest level of service.

 

Since 2018 we also embarked on the field of apostille and authentication of documents from our Centurion Office.

 

Both our Cape Town and Centurion Offices also specialise in Antenuptial Contracts and cohabitation agreements.
